Zimbabwe batted first, but failed to post a total that would put pressure on the visitors. Their score of 145 never looked like a threatening one. Dion Myers was the lone bright spot, looking impressive during his stay at the crease. The Pakistani bowlers were on top of their game, with Abrar Ahmed claiming a four-wicket haul on his debut, while Salman Agha took three. Saim Ayub and Faisal Akram chipped in with a wicket each.
Zimbabwe's bowlers, who had inspired hopes of a repeat performance after their impressive showing in the first ODI, were left frustrated as they failed to make early inroads into the Pakistani batting lineup. The visitors' batting duo never looked troubled, and Pakistan ultimately strolled to a convincing victory, leveling the series in the process.
Pakistan dominated Zimbabwe in the second ODI, securing a comprehensive 10-wicket victory. Chasing a modest total of 145, Pakistan's opening duo of Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique made light work of the target, cruising to a century stand. Saim Ayub was the star of the show, scoring a magnificent century, while Abdullah provided solid support, finishing unbeaten on 32.
