Forgotten Premier League winner tells Ruben Amorim his priority job at Man Utd

Ruben Amorim has been told to find a “style of play” at - something that he has instantly agreed with.

Speaking with Radio Manchester, the former midfielder said: “Hopefully the new manager will come in and you know get off to a good start and then the players will react to him nicely. So I think they’ll have a strong finish definitely.”

He added: “I think now until the end of the season they just really need to establish something. They need to get like a style of play and a lot of confidence and maybe use it as a bit of a starter point for the next season really, I don’t think United fans can expect too much too soon.”

Amorim has already had the opportunity to give supporters an insight into his approach. During his first interview as United boss, he claimed that his first job was to introduce a new “identity” at the club.

He said: “We know that we need time, but we have to win time. To win time is to win games. But the most important thing for me is identity. So since day one we will start with our identity.
