Netflix viewers rave over 'incredible' comedy with Harry Potter and Hot Fuzz stars
fans are obsessed with a star-filled comedy which just became available to stream online.
Sick Note first came out in 2017 on Sky One, and was only released on Netflix last week - where it quickly made its way into the UK’s Top 10. Both seasons are on the streaming service, with fans claiming they couldn’t stop themselves from bingeing it all at once.
The show features some major names, with star , , and in starring roles, and becoming a key figure in season two. The official Netflix description reads: “After slacker Daniel Glass is misdiagnosed with cancer, his lies lead him into an absurd web of fraud, blackmail, suspicion and misadventure.”

Fans seem to love the unpredictable comedy, and the show has over 9000 reviews on IMDB. “I've just finished the first season after a complete binge. I love Rupert Grint. I love Nick Frost. And the two together have such incredible chemistry, rapport and comic timing that it's just a toe cringing, drink snorting, belly laugh inducing joy to watch,” one viewer fawned on the site.

A second person reviewed: “Insane plot line with plenty of funny and tense moments, talented actors and amazing characters couldn't recommend it enough.”
“Classic British comedy and love seeing Ron Weasley as the lead actor for this series, I hope they will release more seasons! Overall enjoyed the stupidness of the characters and lies and how one thing led to all the acts in the series! I absolutely loved it and had my goofs and gags watching them,” gushed a third.
Another added: “Love this. I binge-watched 3 times. Grint and Frost have a magical chemistry. The writing, the acting, and the story lines are magnificent. All the other characters add even more sparkle. I am waiting for Season 3. Please, God, let them have another season.”
Unfortunately for the final reviewers, the creators of the show - James Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders - have heavily hinted that the show will remain just two seasons long. Back in 2020, Serafinowicz shared his take on a possible renewal when a fan begged to know about season three on .
Serafinowicz said it was “doubtful” that a new season would come out, and explained: “We wrote the first 2 episodes of season 3 but nothing ever happened with them. I don’t even know if they were read.”
“Ah well hopefully Netflix will pull their finger out, appreciate the rise in popularity of dark comedy and green light a season 3. Great show,” the fan responded, but the writer shared: “Thank you. I think it’ll be forever be unresolved unfortunately.”
A year later, Saunders seemed to agree with his co-creator during a very similar online interaction. Replying to a fan question, he wrote: “Thank you! Alas, it’s neither recomissioned or cancelled, just in TV show limbo. I’m gonna take a wild guess and say it’s most likely not coming back!”
