'Gossip Girl' actor Michelle Trachtenberg, 39, dies: She was 'really sick' says report
Michelle Trachtenberg , the 39 year old actor, who was a part of the popular show Gossip Girl was found dead on Wednesday. She was found by her mother at her luxury apartment in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood.
She was found “unconscious and unresponsive” by police. While the cause of her death has not been confirmed yet, reports suggest she was struggling during her last days.
“She told friends she was struggling”
As per PEOPLE, Trachtenberg was “really down emotionally.” She also had been dealing with " health issues ." Citing source, the media reports, “She was really, really sick and open with those in her circle about how much she was struggling.”
The report also says she looked “pale, gaunt” and “very thin."
In January 2024, she had posted on selfie on Instagram following which fans asked her about her well being.

"I’ve received several comments recently about my appearance. I have never had plastic surgery I am happy and healthy. Check yourself haters," she had shared another post.
She underwent a liver transplant last year
While reports also suggest that she underwent liver transplantation few months before, ABC News has reported, citing sources that she may have been experiencing complications due to the transplantation.
