Every day is a new day when you are married: Surbhi Chandna

Naagin 5 actress Surbhi Chandna and her husband, entrepreneur Karan Sharma , recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary . The actress shares how the last one year has been a beautiful learning experience. She says, “Soon after marriage, we moved into a new house. From being pampered by my parents and in-laws, suddenly I was managing the entire household with my husband. Living 24 hours with your spouse and taking decisions when you have never done that before was quite challenging. It took us some time to reach a middle ground and understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Now, after a year, I feel we have understood each other better. It’s been a beautiful journey with Karan so far.”

The couple is also working together; they started a production house some time ago. Surbhi says, “We are both different people when it comes to working with each other. I am darpok, while Karan is a risk-taker. Like in personal life, professionally too, it took us time to adapt to each other’s POVs.”

Talking about the support she has got from Karan in her career over the years, she shares, “He supported

me when I was going through a difficult phase during Ishqbaaaz and such other phases in the past 14 years. Now,
when he has found his calling with our production house, I want to lend my support, and that’s what I feel a good partnership is all about.”

Karan Sharma: I feel safe with Surbhi
I feel safe with Surbhi,. The way I feel protected around my mother, I feel the safe way when I am with Surbhi in our new home. Mostly women say this for their husbands, but I feel secure with her emotionally. It feels good to share our spaces and accommodate each other’s habits.
