Vishwas, a 40-year-old British businessman from Leicester, was discharged from Ahmedabad's Civil Hospital on June 17. He and his brother Ajay, both originally from Diu, were returning to London after visiting family in the Union Territory when tragedy struck.

On June 18, he led the funeral procession of Ajay in Diu. Still visibly injured and with bandages on his face, Vishwas shouldered the mortal remains of his brother, who had been seated beside him on the ill-fated Ahmedabad–London Gatwick flight on June 12.
