For making Vada
Boiled rice flour – 1 cup
Urad dal – 1 cup (soaked for 12 hours)

Hing – 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Water – as required
For curd
Fresh curd – 2 cups
Black salt – according to taste
Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
For tempering
Oil – 1-2 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Green chilli – 1-2 finely chopped
Curry leaves – few
– Method
– Process to prepare Vada Do
First of all, wash the urad dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 12 hours.
Now, grind the soaked dal by adding it in water. Add rice flour, salt, cumin powder, asafoetida and turmeric and mix well.
Add some water in a vessel and make the dal mixture loose and soft, so that the bade can be fried well.
Now heat oil in a pan and make small bade with your hands and put them in hot oil. Fry these bade till they become golden and crispy.
- Prepare curd
Beat the curd well and add black salt, sugar and chaat masala to it and mix well.
Keep the curd in the fridge to cool, so that the taste increases.
- Prepare the Tadka
Heat oil in a small pan and prepare the Tadka by adding cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves to it.
Add the tempering to the cold curd mixture and mix.
Method of adding Bade
Immediately put the fried bade in cold water and let it soften a little.
Then add these Bada to the curd mixture and mix well, so that it is completely absorbed in the curd.
Now the Dahi Ke Bada are ready. Garnish them with chaat masala and coriander and serve. If you want, you can also add some pimbua and sweet sauce on top.
