Tomorrow, Friday, from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. in the Intellectual Hall, acclaimed author Akhil P. Dharmajan, known for his contributions to new age times, will be featured in a session titled "Stories beyond the page- An evening with Akhil P Dharmajan". Akhil,now a celebrated novelist and scriptwriter, will recount his inspiring journey from self-publishing his work to becoming a widely admired writer.
His novels have resonated deeply with readers, and his book,"Ram C/O Anandhi" alone has sold nearly 270,000 copies between January and June of this year. Other popular works by Akhil include "Mercury Island"and "Ouija Board". The session promises to offer invaluable insights for aspiring writers.
This Saturday, the poetic evening will showcase the works of Rafeeq Ahamed and P.P. Ramachandran, who will share their poems and engage in discussions with the audience from 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. in the Intellectual Hall.
Rafeeq Ahamed, a distinguished lyricist honored with the Kerala Literary Academy Award and six-time recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for his film songs, is renowned for his lyrical artistry. His work is expected to create a captivating atmosphere for poetry enthusiasts.
P.P. Ramachandran, known for his memorable poem "Lalitham",has also garnered accolades including the Kerala Literary Academy, the P. Kunhiraman Nair Poetry Award, and the Cherusseri Award. His evocative words are certain to offer profound reflections for the audience.
Also on Saturday, acclaimed Malayalam writer Vinoy Thomas will engage readers from 7.15 to 8.15 pm at Book Forum 1. Vinoy Thomas, celebrated for his Kerala Literary Academy Award-winning novel "Putt" and the story collection "Ramachi", is recognized as a distinguished voice in contemporary literature. Additionally, he contributed the story for the film Churuli, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.
Contemporary writer Lijeesh Kumar, known for his thought-provoking work, will appear on Saturday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Book Forum 1 to discuss his new book "Kanjaavu". His other acclaimed works include Gujarat, Ormakkal Ende Urakkam Keduthunnu, and 51 Sakshikal.
Finally, noted diplomat,educationalist, and author T.P. Sreenivasan will present his latest book," Diplomacy Liberated" on Saturday, also from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Book Forum 1. With his multifaceted career, Sreenivasan’s insights are anticipated to be a highlight for attendees
