One of Kate Hudson’s most adored romantic-comedies from the early 2000s is about to leave Netflix - but you can still stream it elsewhere.

This swoon-worthy classic from 2003 cemented Hudson as a rom-com staple following her star-making turn in Almost Famous.

It also features another major Hollywood A-lister as her charismatic love interest, and their electric chemistry still has audiences getting hot under the collar more than 20 years later.

We’re, of course, talking about How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days, which stars Hudson as cynical writer Andie Anderson, who pens an article about the ‘dos and don’ts’ of 21st century dating.

Matthew McConaughey portrays arrogant advertising exec Benjamin Barry, who vows he can make any woman fall in love with him within 10 days.

Ahead of Hudson taking on her first leading role in a TV series in Netflix’s Running Point, why not catch up with a trip down the memory lane of her earliest hits.

It’s leaving the platform in just five days but don’t worry - you can also catch it on Prime Video.

While the film received a mixed response from critics upon its initial release, How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days is still considered an irresistible guilty pleasure all these years later.

The Rearview even called it the “Greatest Romcom of All Time” in their retrospective review from last year.

“If you haven’t seen How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days, I envy and sympathize with you,” they wrote.

“I envy you because I wish to go back in time and experience this cinematic masterpiece for the first time.

“I sympathize with you because you are missing out on what I consider a pure work of art and the greatest romcom of all time.”

A five-star Google review gushed: “THE CHEMISTRY!!!!!!! It’s unbelievable how much chemistry was oozing from the main characters. It felt less like watching a movie but an actual moment of two characters in love.

And another rave write-up said: “I would be bold enough to say if you don’t like this film, it’s because you hate joy… that’s dramatic, but still, it’s a good movie. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is the gold standard of RomComs.

“Charming leads, quirky characters, a ridiculous but fun premise, drama, character growth and development, and romance all crammed into a wonderful film that is worth watching again and again.”

Over on Letterboxd, the film also has an endless supply of five-star reviews from users championing the fan-favourite rom-com. One says, “2000s romcoms starring impossibly attractive people and ambitious communication girlies in new york will forever have my heart.”

Another simply said: “Actually the best romcom EVER made.”

And a final fan gushed: “The best romcom I have ever watched. This movie has reached deep into my soul and may even take my top 4.”

With an exciting new Kate Hudson project on the horizon, make sure you take the chance to remember where it all began for the Hollywood star this week.

How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days is leaving Netflix on Tuesday, 25th February and is streaming on Prime Video.
