The mother of the deceased Akash had informed the police on Wednesday that her son had left the house on his bicycle at 8 pm. After this, he did not return. After this, the police suspected Mahesh Gupta, who runs a confectionery shop. Mahesh was seen chasing Akash in the CCTV footage. After this, the police arrested Mahesh. 

It is being said that Mahesh had an illicit relationship with Akash's mother. This is why Mahesh often asked Akash to let him talk to his mother. Mahesh started hating him as the innocent boy refused this demand. This is why Mahesh called Akash to his shop and made him drink a cold drink. After this, he strangled Akash with his own hands. After this, he strangled him with a rope and killed him. After this, the accused Mahesh threw away the child's body.
