The 1% Club's Lee Mack says 'are you serious' as contestant shares 'hilarious' mix-up
The 1% Club host, Lee Mack, was left lost for words during the latest episode of the show. During the programme, viewers saw one contestant called Emily fail to answer correctly and have an early.
Speaking to the contestant, Lee questioned what made her apply to the show. Emily confessed: "Well, I was actually meant to be on Naked Attraction.
"I got headhunted to go on that!!" The host was speechless over her revelation as he asked: "No way, are you serious?!" The contestant confirmed she was being completely serious and was scouted by people on the Channel 4 show.
She elaborated: "I basically used to have an open Instagram so they headhunted me and said, 'We really want you to go on it.'
"All my friends were like, 'You should do it!' So, I went to the first stage of interviews, which is just a chat." Cutting in, Lee was curious to know how they interviewed people interested in going on the nude dating show.
Emily explained it was a casual conversation with the producers and she told them that she'd think about it more.
She added: "I was like, 'I can't do this' I'm not getting naked on national television." The ITV host asked whether or not she'd actually been on the show as Emily shared she had turned down the offer.
Emily replied: "I would never do that. So I came on here instead!" Lee replied: "Ah, well that's a relief. For a minute there I thought the reason they've sat you in the front is the screen is going to come up!"
Although Emily managed to get through to the 70% question, in the end only one player called Jackie made it through to the final round and had the chance to win the full jackpot of £100,000.
However, as she hadn't used her pass throughout the game, the contestant was going to leave with £1,000 regardless.
Giving her a choice, Lee told her she could either leave the show with the £10k she had earned, or risk it all by answering the one per cent question to try and take home everything in the prize pot.
He said: "If you won that, you'd be the first person ever on the show to win the whole £100,00." When it came to making her decision, Jackie confessed she wanted to risk it.
However, she highlighted how much £10,000 is to lose if she got the answer wrong. In the end, she decided to take home what she had earned and was leaving the programme with an incredible £11,000.
The 1% Club is available to watch on ITVX.
