Tesla CEO Elon Musk joined Google CEO Sundar Pichai's phone call to US President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday, stated reports. Pichai reportedly dialled Trump to congratulate him for his massive win in the presidential election while Musk was on the line, according to The Information report. Musk was listening to the conversation while Pichai spoke to Trump, said the report. Billionaire businessman and owner of SpaceX is often seen on Trump's side over the past few months. He has also been seen at the house of the president-elect in Florida, with several reports indicating that he rarely leaves. SpaceX's owner has actively engaged with world leaders, offering advice on personnel decisions both privately and publicly via X, which he acquired in 2022. Known for sharing frequent memes of himself and former President Trump, Musk has embraced the title "First Buddy," a nod to his role within Trump’s inner circle.Musk contributed at least $119 million to a pro-Trump political group, according to federal records, reported Reuters. This is part of a larger strategy to protect his businesses from regulation and secure government backing. Musk’s ventures—ranging from Tesla’s electric cars and Neuralink’s brain chips to SpaceX’s rockets—are heavily reliant on government policies, regulations, and subsidies.He had publicly endorsed Trump on July 13, the day of an assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania.
