Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh visits Andaman & Nicobar NCC units
CHENNAI: Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh visited the Andaman & Nicobar NCC units under the NCC Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Nicobar Directorate rexcently.
During his two-day visit to the 1 AN Infantry Company of the NCC, he was briefed on the efforts taken by the Army and the Naval NCC units in the training activities of the cadets. He was given an insight on the various social service and community development activities undertaken by the NCC cadets.

He called on Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Admiral (Retd) DK Joshi to discuss future infrastructure plans for improving NCC camps and activities on the island. He called on the Commander in Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, Ministry of Defence (CINCAN) and discussed various training related aspects involving the Army, Naval and Air Force Units, which would motivate cadets to join the armed forces.
He interacted with the cadets, associate NCC officers and the training staff as well.
