2 dead, 3 injured as car hits lorry in Telangana's Narketpally
HYDERABAD: Two persons died, and three others were injured after a car hit a parked lorry from behind at Narketpally early Sunday morning. Police suspect that due to thick fog on the national highway, the car driver failed to notice the parked lorry.
Narketpally police said K. Sai Kumar Goud , 32, and Shivarathri Praveen , 24, died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries.

The injured were shifted to a private hospital.
Following the accident, a traffic jam ensued at Narketpally on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway.
The five-member group from Alwal was traveling to Vijayawada when the accident occurred. The impact was so severe that the car was mangled.
“The lorry driver had stopped the vehicle on the roadside to attend to nature’s call. However, due to the thick fog in the morning, the car driver likely failed to notice the parked lorry,” Chityal police told TOI.
One of the deceased was seated next to the car driver, while the other was in the rear seat.
The car driver survived as the airbags deployed on impact. Police had to bring in a JCB to remove the wreckage and clear the traffic jam.
