Heart failure after diving kills B'luru man off Baina
Vasco: A 34-year-old Bengaluru tourist, Sanjay Srinivas, lost his life on Sunday due to a cardiac arrest after he participated in water sports near Grande Island, off the coast of Baina beach.
Srinivas and his wife were part of a group that booked a boat operator-cum-agent from Nerul. The group embarked on a sea voyage towards Grande Island via Dona Paula. After scuba diving, Srinivas began to feel unwell while having lunch. After complaining of uneasiness to the operator, due to lack of medical facilities and quick response services, he was taken ashore.

Srinivas was rushed to the Chicalim sub-district hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival. Harbour coastal security police are investigating.
Baina watersports’ association president Carlos Almeida called the incident “unfortunate”.
