Indore: A man trying to race another car on AB Road was injured after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the BRTS railing before hitting the wall of the Kalka Temple. He was trying to avoid hitting a truck coming from the opposite direction when the accident took place.

Police said that a group of young men and women were driving recklessly in two separate cars around 4:00 am on Sunday. Following the accident, one of the individuals abandoned his vehicle at the scene and fled with his companions in the second car. The police seized the abandoned car and initiated an investigation.

The impact was so severe that the front portion of the vehicle was completely wrecked. Eyewitnesses said that the driver was moving at an extremely high speed when a truck suddenly appeared in front of the car, causing him to lose control and collide with the railing and temple wall. The occupants of the car quickly switched to another vehicle and fled the scene.

Upon searching the abandoned car, the police found liquor bottles, a saffron flag, and a scarf. Fortunately, the driver survived the crash, likely due to the deployment of the airbag. Eyewitnesses also reported that the second car, which was trailing behind, was occupied by both young men and women.

The police are currently investigating the incident to identify the driver at the time of the accident and ascertain further details about the case. Vijay Nagar police station in-charge Chandrakant Patel said that the matter was being investigated further.|
