Omkareshwar to get grand temple, Jhabua medical college: CM Yadav
Indore/Barwani: CM Mohan Yadav on Sunday announced that a grand Jyotirlinga temple will be built in Omkareshwar, with liquor shops at identified pilgrimage sites set to close from April.
"A grand Jyotirlinga temple will be constructed in Omkareshwar, enhancing the religious and historical importance of the site. After March, liquor shops would be closed at identified pilgrimage sites, reinforcing the sanctity of these locations," said Yadav.
On Omkareshwar's development, Yadav said similar to the 'Mahakal Lok' project in Ujjain, Omkareshwar will also be transformed into a major religious tourism hub, and provisions for this development will be included in the upcoming state budget.
Yadav said the govt was committed to restoring the entire Parikrama Path of Narmada to its original, sacred form, and enhanced facilities will be provided for Narmada Parikrama pilgrims, including the construction of ghats at various Narmada banks across the state for religious events and the installation of signboards for the convenience of pilgrims.
The CM left for Omkareshwar on Sunday morning from Indore and later participated in the Bhagoria fair at Jhabua and Pansemal of Barwani district.
He announced that Bhagoria and other festivals of the tribal community will be officially recognised as a state-level festival and celebrated by the state govt.
Addressing a gathering at Jhabua, Yadav announced the opening of a medical college in Jhabua and free coaching for medical college and other professional courses for tribal students."I was told that there is no medical college in Jhabua. I have ordered a grand medical college to be developed in Jhabua. If someone falls ill or faces any difficulty, they shouldn't have to be taken to Ujjain, Ahmedabad, or Indore for treatment. Why should the people of Jhabua have to go elsewhere? Their problems will be addressed right here….And it's not just about the patients; children who aspire to become doctors will receive all kinds of coaching and be assisted in gaining admission to become doctors," said Yadav.
He also announced the provision of land for the construction of rest houses in Omkareshwar, Ujjain, and Jhabua, and the construction of a road from Kalka Temple to M-2 Hotel in Jhabua. He also stated that under the solar pump scheme, free electricity will be provided to ensure water reaches every field, and a grant policy has been created for the establishment of industries, which will increase local employment opportunities.
Yadav instructed the examination of the plan to connect the Anas River to the Narmada River for water supply in Jhabua district.Yadav also announced a free air ambulance service for the poor and a 5 per cent bonus on milk production for dairy farmers, along with subsidies for purchasing cows.
At Pansemal, the CM announced the opening of a civil hospital. He said, "Fairs and festivals are related to history and culture, and by coming to the fair, the mutual grime is removed, mutual love increases, and life is filled with enthusiasm and excitement."
Speaking to the media on Sunday morning at Indore about the upcoming budget session, Yadav said the budget will serve as a milestone for Madhya Pradesh's development. The budget session will commence on Monday, and the budget will be presented on March 12.
