CM declares 'Chhava' tax-free in state
Raipur: Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai has declared the Hindi Bollywood film ‘Chhava' will go tax-free in Chhattisgarh, as it's based on the story of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
"Chhava is not just a film, but also a tribute to our historical traditions, courage, and self-respect," the CM said, adding that the movie buff and residents in the state will benefit from reduced ticket prices and tax exemption, which will ensure a wider audience to learn from the historic masterpiece.
"The film portrays the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and strategic brilliance of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who fought with extreme valour against the Mughals. Reinforcing a deep sense of nationalism, his unwavering commitment to the nation is inspiring," CM said.
CM Sai reaffirmed his govt's commitment to promoting films that inspire society and preserve cultural consciousness. He emphasized that Chhattisgarh will continue supporting historical, cultural, and patriotic films to ensure that future generations remain connected to India's glorious past.
