JNAC starts prep for city's development
Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has initiated the preparations of the master plan 2027 to outline the city's development vision keeping the infrastructure, transportation and urban planning of the next 30 years.
A review committee has been formed comprising officials from JNAC along with officials from land, market, infrastructure and projects department of Tata Steel Utility and Infrastructure Services Ltd (TS UISL). The meeting of the review committee will be held on March 19 to decide on the timeline for the preparation of the master plan.
"The primary responsibility of the review committee will be to analyse the notified master plan and identify areas for improvement as per existing land use," said deputy municipal commissioner, Jamshedpur, Krishna Kumar.
Further, the task force will identify gaps in the current land use patterns and suggest alternative uses to optimise land utilisation and promote sustainable development within the city and its fringe areas.
On Wednesday evening, a meeting was chaired by Krishna Kumar and was attended by assistant town planners and legal assistants of JNAC besides TS UISL officials.
