Death toll rises to five in Palsana Santosh mill blast

Surat: Two more victims of the Palsana Santosh Textile Mill blast, including a man and a woman, succumbed to their injuries during treatment in a Surat hospital, raising the death toll in the incident to five.

Following their deaths, the families of the victims blocked a road in the Udhna area, demanding compensation. Police intervened and called the mill officials, who assured fair compensation. Satisfied with the assurance, the families proceeded with the last rites.

The incident occurred on Sept 1 when a chemical drum exploded at the textile mill, killing two and seriously injuring 11.
