Samiksha Jaiswal, known for her striking performances in positive lead roles, has taken on a bold new challenge as Gayatri Vajpayee in Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Productions’ Ram Bhavan. The actress describes her character as a ruthless and powerful woman who leads the household with authority, bringing a refreshing perspective to female empowerment.

“My character, Gayatri, is quite cruel at times since she is a negative character and a ruthless one,” Samiksha shares. “She is the most powerful character in the story—a ‘boss lady’ who prioritizes herself and does what is necessary to get her way. This trait, often associated with powerful men, makes Gayatri stand out.”

Stepping into the shoes of a negative character was no easy feat for the actress, who admits it was a significant departure from her usual roles. “Portraying cruelty has been challenging for me since it doesn’t align with who I am as a person,” she explains. “However, stepping out of my comfort zone has been incredibly rewarding. Negative roles offer so much more scope for acting compared to positive ones, which often follow a straightforward path.”

Ram Bhavan, set in a crumbling mansion in Prayagraj, delves into themes of pride, power, and relationships. Samiksha believes this layered storytelling sets the show apart from traditional family dramas. “What makes Ram Bhavan unique is that it isn’t love-centric. The story explores the lives of everyone in the house and those who eventually become a part of it. It has multiple layers and focuses on themes like pride, power, and relationships,” she says.

The tension between Gayatri and other key characters, such as Om and Isha, forms the crux of the narrative. “Gayatri’s journey is deeply intertwined with these complex relationships, showcasing a power play that redefines what it means to be a woman in charge,” Samiksha elaborates.

Reflecting on her collaboration with Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Productions, Samiksha says, “Working with Rahul Sir has been an absolute delight. He’s approachable, fun-loving, and ensures any issues are resolved swiftly. The entire team—from Abdur to Manish to Abhishek—has made this journey smooth and rewarding.”

With high hopes for the show’s success, Samiksha concludes, “I have a gut feeling that Gayatri will become a significant character and that Ram Bhavan will do exceptionally well. Authenticity is key, and I believe audiences will resonate with our performances.”
