Maan Meri Jaan's King: I want to remain a rock star till my last breath

Maan Meri Jaan hitmaker King is back with another romantic ballad - Stay. Unlike other singers, King doesn't talk about how his new track is different from his predecessors. "When you make romantic songs, the intensity is always the same. Even for this, I made it with the same intensity and love that I had when I was making Maan Meri Jaan. Now whether it is liked more or less it depends on the audience. ," King shares.

Talking about the track, which also features Sapna Pabbi, he adds, "This song will make you more hopeful. I want people to feel loved and feel it's okay whether you have or not. It is okay to let go of things. You need to believe in yourself. Appreciate the time and people around you."

The singer who is known for making romantic tracks says he not necessarily takes inspiration from his personal life. "I make different types of music. I also write story (for the music videos), I try my best to not write the story which is inspired from my life. It is for the larger audience. I can make a song about ssadness in general, I may not be able to tap into the reason behind the sadness but can definitely make a track about sadness which resonates with everyone," he explains. He reveals that the song has been on his mind for almost 2 years. "It was there with for two years and then I was reminded about it recently."

The singer who has stayed away from commercial Hindi movies and songs, reveals he is keen to do them, despite not being fully convinced with the idea of it. "I am still not (convinced with doing Hindi movies) but I don't know, I want to explore. I am not shifting my career. I want to remain a rock star till my last breath. Everything is a byproduct. I do wish to explore acting, direction, script writing and more," he concludes.
