"I don't do short kings”: WNBA star Angel Reese shut down YouTuber Funny Marco's claim of flirting with him in her podcast
The WNBA star Angel Reese denied being "flirting" with YouTuber Funny Marco on her podcast, saying she is taking a break from basketball after the first successful season of her professional campaign. Reese was the No. 7 overall draft pick who has been named a WNBA All-Star from the best-first season in Illinois. Along with commitments with the Sky, the 22-year-old has also seen a successful career in podcasting, with Funny Marco just the latest guest on her "Unapologetically Angel" series. At one point during an amusing conversation between the pair on the latest episode, they discussed a wide variety of topics, which included an exchange about "clickbait.".

Matters became heated when Reese confronted Marco after he tried to flirt with her during their back-and-forth dialogue. Reese humorously accused Marco of clicking as clickbait during their interaction.
She said jokingly, "I'll record the podcast right now, 'Oh yeah, Angel and Funny Marco were flirting with each other.' People are really going to click on that." While Marco didn’t directly address her statement, he insisted, "You are flirting with me." Without missing a beat, Reese fired back and said, "I don't do short kings, sorry.”
Chicago Sky forward Reese was previously reported to have been involved with 6'7" small forward Cam'Ron Fletcher, but her relationship with Fletcher had ended the previous March, a month before she was selected seventh overall in the WNBA Draft. She candidly stated, "I don't got no man. Don't attach me to no man. That's all I'mma say. That's it," on an Instagram Live session.
Reese emphasized her dating criteria during her conversation. "He gotta be tall," specifying her ideal height range at 6'7 to 6'8. "Being a tall girl is not easy," she reflected. She further said that the height requirement for her may exclude over 90% of the American male population, but her basketball community status offers numerous options.

Reese is in her first offseason and set to play in the Unrivaled League in January, focusing primarily on basketball. "I don’t want to give half. If I’m in a relationship, I’m going to give everything I have,” she said. The perspective is rooted in past experiences, including a relationship she regrets, but didn't disclose the identity.
