Fake document racket busted in Kundapura, police seize multiple official seals

Kundapura: A case has been registered against Kodi Nagesh, who allegedly ran an application center in Kundapura and was involved in forging official documents using fake stamps, counterfeit government officer signatures, and seals to deceive the public.

Following complaints, the Kundapura police, led by SI Nanja Naik, conducted a raid on the application center with judicial approval.

During the raid, police seized multiple fake seals, including those of the Baindur Sub-Registrar, Kundapura hospital’s birth and death registrar, Bijadi Gram Panchayat, District Commissioner’s office, Kundapura marriage registrar, Kundapura Tahsildar, Basrur Gram Panchayat, Navunda school headmaster, Mudoor Bharat Mata High School, Gopadi PDO, PWD engineer, Udupi Assistant Tahsildar, and Kundapura land surveyor, among others.

A rubber stamp with date, month, and year markings was also confiscated. The seized items are now under investigation as police continue their probe into the extent of the forgery and potential victims.
