Thar crushing video: A shocking scene unfolded at a Mahindra showroom in Delhi’s Nirman Vihar when a brand-new Thar Roxx SUV came crashing off the showroom’s first floor during a delivery ceremony. The high-end SUV, worth nearly ₹27 lakh, was being handed over to 29-year-old Maani Pawar when the mishap occurred.

Ritual gone wrong inside the showroom

Excited about her new purchase, Ms Pawar decided to perform a traditional lemon-crushing ritual inside the showroom before driving away. A lemon was placed in front of the Thar Roxx

tyre, symbolising good luck and protection. The plan was simple: drive slowly forward to crush the lemon under the tyre.

However, things took a disastrous turn when Ms Pawar accidentally hit the accelerator instead of gently nudging the vehicle forward. In an instant, the Thar Roxx broke through the glass panels, crashing out of the showroom and plummeting onto the pavement below.

A viral video of the shocking incident shows the overturned SUV lying on the road beneath the showroom, with stunned onlookers rushing to help. Inside the car were Ms Pawar and a showroom employee identified as Vikas, both of whom escaped major injuries thanks to the quick deployment of the car’s airbags.

Emergency services arrived swiftly, and the pair were taken to Malik Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, both were discharged after receiving first aid. The incident occurred around 6:08 PM on Monday evening, according to Delhi Police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania confirmed the sequence of events, stating that Maani and her husband Pradeep had just purchased the Thar Roxx before the shocking crash.
