The well-known Indian filmmaking team Raj & DK comprises Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. They both came from Andhra Pradesh, Krishna D.K. from Chittoor and Raj from Tirupati, and they met at Sri Venkateswara University while studying engineering. 

Once their studies were over, they relocated to the US to work as software engineers before switching to filmmaking. The English-language film "Flavors" (2003), which examined the experiences of Indian immigrants, marked the beginning of their directing career. "99" (2009), a crime-comedy set in Delhi and Mumbai, was their first Hindi film and was well-reviewed for its creative narrative. 

Their name in the profession was further cemented in 2011 when they directed "Shor in the City," acclaimed for its dark humour and captivating story. With "Go Goa Gone" (2013), India's first zombie comedy, which has now developed a cult following, they kept innovating. 

"The Family Man" (2019–present), a Hindi-language thriller series that combines espionage with social commentary, is the result of their entry into streaming platforms. Following the show's success, the crime drama series "Farzi" (2023–present) and the dark comedy "Guns & Gulaabs" (2023) about four men caught up in romance and crime were produced. To assist independent films, they established D2R Indie, a division of their production company, in 2021. 

The Telugu film "Cinema Bandi" (2021) was the first project under this umbrella, and it was well-received by both viewers and critics. Additionally, Raj & DK have agreed to work on the Indian portion of the Russo Brothers' worldwide series "Citadel," which is anticipated to start production in 2022. They have also signed a multi-year agreement with Netflix, indicating their ongoing presence and impact in the changing Indian film industry. 

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. have received praise for their distinct storytelling techniques throughout their careers, merging several genres and bringing new, eccentric humour to Indian cinema.
