Earlier, Hong Kong, China posted 143/7 in 20 overs after a decent batting effort. Taskin Ahmed and Sakib troubled them early, dismissing Anshy Rath and Babar Hayat to leave Hong Kong at 34/2 after the Powerplay. Nizakat Khan and Zeeshan Ali esteadied the innings with a 41-run partnership before Tanzim Hasan Sakib broke it, dismissing Zeeshan for 30. Yasim Murtaza then accelerated with a 19-ball 28, but his run-out in the 18th over was a setback. Nizakat Khan top-scored with 42, but Hong Kong, China lost momentum and finished with a flurry of wickets. Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled brilliantly for Bangladesh with 2/21, while Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain took 2 wickets each.

Bangladesh's batting unit proved too strong for Hong Kong's bowlers, who struggled to pose a threat. Ateeq Iqbal took 2 wickets while Ayush Shukla managed to pick up one wicket, but it wasn't enough to trouble the Bangladeshi batters, who chased down the target methodically and with some ease.

Bangladesh openers, Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan, had a slow start in their chase of 144, playing cautiously but both were back in the hut for 47. Litton Das and Tawhid Hridoy then came together and stitched a match-winning partnership. Litton Das scored a half-century, while Tawhid Hridoy contributed with a score in the 30s. Their partnership sealed the win for Bangladesh, helping them breeze past Hong Kong, China.
